Beer Release #293. The trash-filled-streets made me wish we were headed home – Brown Ale.
Our 293rd recipe and 7th Brown Ale is American-style with zesty hops on the nose. It has a pronounced bitterness and underlying roasted and caramel maltiness. Hints of blueberries, sponge cake and coffee add to the depth of this well-balanced Ale.
Monthly Newsletter – December 2020
Welcome to our first Monthly Newsletter. We're having a look back at 2020, and a bit forward to 2021.
2020 has been a different year...
Oskar Wallén, an ex footballer with a big heart
This week we’re catching up with Oskar Wallén, the newest addition to our Beerbliotek team. He’s the new Oskar here at Beerbliotek, working together with the other Oscar as our awesome Sales Representatives.
The Beerbliotek Brewers pick their favourite two beers for the perfect Swedish Christmas Lunch (Julbord).
If there's only two beers you buy for your Swedish Christmas Dinner, then our team here at Beerbliotek, has paired them perfectly for your Christmas table. Over the next couple of days we'll start adding more and more photos, paired together with the two beers of our choice. Follow me into the dark, a low ABV Porter, and Back to the middle and 'round again, our brewery team's tribute to the Red IPA.
Richard Bull, who most likely either has a camera or a Pilsner in his hand.
This week we’re catching up with Richard Bull, one of the original founders of Beerbliotek who’s had a hand in most things throughout the brewery over the years. Nowadays he is guiding us through this crazy year while leading Beerbliotek towards greater things as our Managing Director.
This New Zealander got his first taste for Craft Beer when living in Scotland where he met the other original founder of Beerbliotek, Adam. His Craft beer journey truly began after sitting next to the canal as the sun went down drinking some crazy 14% Barrel Aged Stout at Brouwerij de Molen Borefts Beer Festival in 2011 is where he first thought this is what he wants to do with his life. You could say that moment was the very beginning of Beerbliotek.

Murky. Dirty. Matt. Hazy. Grumlig. Cloudy. Misty. Oklar. Dim. Gunk. Gloop. Tjock. Grunge. Sludge. New England DIPA. Muck.
Axel Hagman, who has the best flavour palate out of all of us
This week we’re catching up with Axel Hagman, who first appeared at Beerbliotek way back in Season 2 2014. He made his way here starting out as an apprentice whilst studying Brewing technology, we liked him so much that he was hired immediately after and has become a mainstay in our brewery line up.
Brewers Beer Bar
This week we had our first virtual catch up with our great friends, Brewers Beer Bar, who have been one of our best customers over the years. It has always been a home away from home for Beerbliotek, and is one of the first places we ring when we have a new beer to release. Aside from that, it is also the most likely place to find Richard, propping up the bar and annoying the staff late on a Thursday evening, on one of his "I'm just going for a quick beer after work" pub crawl. We chat about what Brewers is to us and them, the fun joint Tap Takeovers we’ve had, and of course Supporting your locals.
Darryl De Necker, the man behind the brand
This week we’re catching up with Darryl De Necker, the one who makes our cans look pretty while somehow fitting in all those lengthy and witty beer names. You can even learn the history of our brewery if you have a look under the labels. He’s the reason why you can find our beers all over the world and is the man behind the brand that brings life and colour to our beer library..
Majornas Bryggeri
This week we are shining the light on Majorna Bryggeri, a small Swedish brewery with a passion for the culture and community in Craft beer, that led to becoming Gothenburg’s first Brewpub. As it happens, as of last weekend their brewery pub is now one year old. So on their one year anniversary, we met up with Johan Lundin to share our love of Gothenburg’s diverse beer culture, their idea behind introducing a brewpub to Sweden, and of course Supporting your locals.
