If there’s only two beers you buy for your Swedish Christmas Lunch, then our team here at Beerbliotek, has paired them perfectly for your Christmas table.
This year we’ve picked two favourite beers that we recommend for a Swedish Christmas 2020 dinner table (Julbord). Follow me into the dark, a low ABV Porter, and Back to the middle and ’round again, our brewery team’s tribute to the Red IPA, to pair with our Christmas Lunch.
Back to the middle and ‘round again is an 8,6% Imperial Red IPA.
A favourite of pretty much everyone at our brewery, this cooler weather brew welcomes you with its majestic red colour. The clean malt profile in the flavour is highlighted with light caramels and a distinct tangy bitterness, and complemented with aromas of roses, bubblegum and hints of that 80s grandma’s house filled with potpourri and flower shaped candles.
These are the foods we think this Winter IPA goes well with for the perfect Swedish Christmas Lunch.
Back to the middle and ’round again pairs perfectly with salmon (lax) and potatoes (potatis).
We recommend trying our Red IPA with eggs and caviar (ägg and kaviar) or the vegetarian choice of Seaweed Caviar.
This cold weather brew is delicious with some cheddar cheese (ost) and fresh bread (vörtbröd) too.
Follow me into the dark is a 5,6% Porter.
This opaque black, low ABV Porter delivers taste hints of coffee, leather, tobacco and bittersweet chocolate with an added layer of nuts, spice and fennel stalks in the aroma. With a low to medium carbonation and a slick mouthfeel, she is very easy to drink with just the right amount of complexity in the flavours.
These are the foods we think this Winter Porter goes well with for the perfect Swedish Christmas Lunch.
Follow me into the dark goes well with tasty Christmas lunch greens like Brussels sprouts (Brysselkål) and kale (grönkål)…
Ou Winter Porter also goes well with meatballs (köttbullar). Vegetarian option works well too.
Our low ABV Porter works great with ham (skinka) & mustard (senap) on some fresh bread (vörtbröd).
Our Porter pairs perfectly with Blue cheese (Blåmögelost) and Gingerbread cookies (pepparkaka).
Follow me into the dark and Back to the middle and ’round again are available at Systembolaget.
