This week was as busy as what it gets in the brewery, with the packaging and release of two new beers in bottles, A Passion for Strawberry Blondes and Hopped and Hyped.
But just as everyone got back from Brewskival last weekend and thought the week was going start off as usual with a brew day, it started off with a lot of leopard prints and feathers. Or more than we’re used to in the brewery in any case.
Safe to say the girls had fun, or so we were told when we called in later on that night. And that’s as much as we’re going to share 🙂
We’re very much a ”what happens on tour, stays on tour” kind of brewery 🙂 Or in our case ”What happens at beer festivals, stay at beer festivals”.
Last week we ended Friday off with the packaging of Single Hop Mosaic. I have to admit, there’s nothing quite like taking one off the line right at the end and cracking it open, when it’s just been canned, and ice cold.
But I got to the brewery late, and had to settle for one from the fridge. Still only four hours old, or four hours fresh.
We posted the photo below on our social channels, and I was intrigued by one comment which said; ”Not my favourite”. That was the perfect comment, and the reason we have made over 30 different IPA’s since we started. In Swedish we have a saying; ”All gillar olika”, which translates to ”We’re all different” or ”We all like different things”.
We’re going to keep exploring IPA’s, different hops, different malt combinations, and who knows where we’ll end. Who knows, you may not even have found your favourite IPA yet?
Do you have a Passion for Strawberry Blondes?
This is the sixth in our range of Berliners. In this one we’ve added Strawberries and Passion Fruit. It’s still on 3,8% and very refreshing. It’s just been bottled in the last week, so would hopefully start showing up in a store close to you soon.

Be on the lookout for Hip Hops Mango
Last week we launched Hip Hops Mango. It based on our award winning IPA in a can Hip Hops. But then we added copious amounts of mango. It’s only available in kegs, so be on the lookout for the tap tag below at a bar or restaurant near you.
If you’re lucky you may even have the opportunity to try them side by side.
#049 Hip Hops and #165 Hip Hops Mango
This week I was on a trip to Stockholm, and stopped by our good friends at BrewDog bar Södermalm. That specific night they had our 3,5% Session IPA in the Hopinator. The Hopinator is effectively a way of infusing an extra dose of hops (or coffee, or cocoa beans, spices, fruit etc) on the bar itself at the point of serve. In this case it was Strawberries, Mango, Peach and Blackberries.
If you’re interested to read more about the Hopinator, then read Chris Hall’s article from 2013. It’s good reading.
In the last week, I had a look through some old archived photos from when we started, and stumbled across this one of myself grinding malt manually. We had a smaller brewery back then, so it was just eight 25kg bags or 200kg. All ground with the help of a hand drill. Seems like a life time ago, if you even compare it to last week’s update where we shared bottling and capping by hand.
That’s it from us for this week. Yesterday we released some news about our Member’s club event on the 16th of September. Check it out on Facebook, and get in touch if you’re in Gothenburg that night. One beer that we will definitely have on tap is Sour Berry Quite Contrary, our first sour from our old Sockerbruket brewery.
Until next week.
If you’d like to get hold of the same Beer T-Shirt Henrik is wearing then you’d need to get to our webshop soon. We have limited stocks available.
But fear not, we’re releasing our new merchandise range soon, so keep watching this space.
All in Beer Festival 4-5 November 2016
One of our favourite festivals is the All In Beer Fest. The reason? It’s just about beer.
We’ll be attending again this year, but if you’d like to attend, then there’s two ways to go about it. Buy a ticket, or enter our #FreshestCanInTheLand competition, where you stand the chance to win two entrance tickets.
