For this week’s update we’ve got news of a new beer, a great free beer magazine and a reminder to tag your photos of our cans with #FreshestCanInTheLand to be eligible to win two tickets to the All In Beer Festival in November.
Our Berliners have a bit of a different illustration treatment to our other beers, which mean they take a bit longer to design, but we’ve had some very kind words said about them.
As illustrations go, the one we did for ”What’s better than roses on your piano?” didn’t quite work out as planned in the time we planned it. As designers & brand managers go, I just wasn’t happy with the result… so I had to do it again, as it is art isn’t it? This delayed the ordering of the labels, etc, etc… But finally we’ve labelled them and they’ll be shipping next week. We hope you’re going to like them.
The latest Berliner, which is in the illustration phase right now, has something to do with Mangoes & Peaches. A little bit easier than Tulips on your organ.
In Sweden we have a great Craft Beer magazine, called ”coHops”. They cover everything from festivals to latest beers and the great Swedish breweries that brew them. Sadly though, the magazine is only available in Swedish which means a limited readership, as well as a limit on how much the Swedish Craft Beer industry can get known outside of Sweden. There’s been rumours that they’re planning to produce an English version, which would be great as it would spread the great things happening in the Swedish beer market to a global audience.
Another magazine which is great, not only because it is written in English, but also because it’s free, is called ”Ferment”. If you’d like to read it yourself, we’ve included the magazine on the publishing platform Issuu below.
For those of you that have not yet met Henrik, our Swedish sales rep in person, don’t fear, you may already know what he looks like. We featured him on the label for our collaboration with Rådanäs Bryggeri, called ”Cross-Eye Coffee Rye”. It was in his first month with us, and we wanted to make him feel special.
Since then however we changed his name to Sally, which we thought rhymed really well with Salesman… or as the new beer we named after him is called ”Sally the Saler”. It’s a 4,7% kettle soured Saison, and he’ll be selling it from next week. If you own a pub or a restaurant and would like to stock that beer, or any of our other beers, don’t hesitate to get hold of him.
Other news on the horizon is a collaboration we’ve done with All In Brewing. It’s a Pale Ale, and we’re not sure of the name, so if you have any ideas, then fill in the form below and send it in. You might be lucky and have the opportunity to name a beer.
With all of that said we wish you a great weekend.
Cheers
Name your own beer
Producing so many new beers, 170 at the last count, comes with its own set of problems. Coming up with names. We’ve asked before, but if you’d like to name a beer, then send us your recommendations. Beer name, style and of course your name. We’ll get in touch, and credit you on the label.
