Our updated Hip Hops and Bobek Citra cans have just arrived, and we get ready to ship more beer to Estonia, Russia and Finland – Weekly Brewery Update

Two empty cans of Beerbliotek Beers, "Hip Hops" IPA and "Bobek Citra" American Pale Ale.

During this last week our updated Hip Hops and Bobek Citra Cans have just come in through the door, as we get ready to export more beer out through the door.

New cans have arrived.

Hip Hops & Bobek Citra.

We started with four different beers in cans, when we decided to include cans in our beer lineup, next to bottles and kegs. Right now we have over 25 beers in cans already and growing. The decision to include pre-printed cans really come down to quantity, which equals costs. Our supplier for cans are Crown Cork, and the minimum order is 50 000 cans. As you may know, some of our beers are very limited, not close to 50 000, hence we decided to do most of our cans as self-labelled.

Bobek Citra and Hip Hops however are two beers we’ve produced a lot. They’re our two favourites, and beers that we think represent everything we like in an IPA and a Pale Ale.

That’s why we’re on the second 50 000 order of each can, and the good news is that they have just arrived at the brewery. Ready to be filled. They have not changed much, just additional text for our additional export markets, and the addition of the Swedish Craft Beer logo.

Now they’re just waiting to be filled, but first a new beer 😉

Hello Russia, Finland & Estonia.

Your exports are ready to roll 🙂

Talking about extra markets, we have just finished packing three shipments, one to Russia, one to Finland, and one more to Estonia. These are not the first shipments we’re sending to each of these countries, but it’s still exciting to see our beer travel outside of the Swedish borders so often.

Russia has a full shipment of most of our currently available beers coming, whereas they only order Alternative Facts, beetroot is the new hops the last time. It was the Imperial Gose we brewed together with the Russian brewery AF Brew. For Finland it’s a lot of Bobek Citra and Hip Hops, as those beers are available at the Finnish liquor store Alko. Estonia gets their usual order of everything they can 🙂

Tap Room & Sunny Days.

What more does one want?

Sunny days in Sweden are very rare. Very very rare. So when we get them, we make sure that we use them properly. What better way than down at the Beerbliotek Tap Room, a full selection of beer and a late evening summer sun.

Saturday was less sunny and a bit of hail, but such is life for us here in the north. Luckily there’s also dark beers available when the sun dips behind the clouds.

Nice afternoon at the @beerbliotek Tap Room

Some News.

Lagunitas’s newest IPA doesn’t just smell like marijuana – it contains actual cannabis extracts.

”Brewers like to describe super-hoppy IPAs the way that they might talk about marijuana: ”dank,” ”resinous,” ”sticky.” It makes sense, after all: Both cannabis (pot) and Humulus lupulus (hops) are members of the Cannabaceae family of flowering plants, and both rely on compounds called terpenes to provide their essential flavors and aromas.”

Raddison Riverside.

Sunny Thursday Roof Top Bar.

Last week Henrik and myself headed over to our friends at Raddison Riverside Hotel across the Göta River for our yearly Roof Top event. It’s a really great view from the roof over the river to the city of Gothenburg, or the Gothenburg skyline.

Down the river is the Älvsborgs Bridge, which is where our Sockerbruket Sour Brewery is located. We had a great summer selection of IPAs, Pale Ales and Berliner Weisse’s available, and no one left thirtsy.

Afterwards Henrik and myself spent some time with Thomas, the bar manager, and he introduced us to some of his latest Gins he had acquired. If you enjoy great drinks, then Thomas is one of the best bartenders in Gothenburg, and Cuckoos Nest is a great restaurant. Don’t miss out.

Brewskival 2017.

Goodtimes ahead.

This weekend we’re again heading down to our friends at the Brewskival. We’ve got some great memories from these trips. We always try and take some of our most interesting beers with us, and this year is no exception. We’re taking four beers from our Sockerbruket Sour Brewery, Eternal Darkness Barrel Aged, our Imperial Stout which spent some time in a Whiskey barrel, and finally our favourite beer for 2017, A Moment of Clarity, GBG Beer Week 2017, a Session IPA.

We hope to see you there.

And finally.

Some new beers out soon.

This past week we’ve been planning some new beers, so there’s six or so new recipes that have made it onto the table, but I’m not going to reveal too much, but one of them is #200. There’s a new Stout, a new Pale Ale, and a new Double IPA.

The beers in the photo where the ones we had at the Beerbliotek Tap Room this weekend. We always have ten beers available, and always release new beers at the Tap Room first, if you need to be the first, then you know where to come. The beer list also changes every time, as we package fresh beers and so on.

That’s it from us for this week. Until next week.

Cheers
