Book of Records was the fourteenth beer we made which went into a can, instead of a bottle. And as with all things in a production line, sometimes there’s teething problems. We have had some feedback from some consumers about some of the cans of Book of Records with the best before date 20211108, which have in fact exploded.
We have investigated what it was that went wrong, and it was a case of some of the cans that have been overfilled. This, in conjunction with storing cans in a warm environment have caused a number of cans to explode. There’s nothing wrong with the taste of the beer, as some of those with exploding cans have confirmed.
If you have a can that has this best before date on the bottom of the can, there’s a few things you can do.
- Store it in your fridge.
- Drink it as soon as possible.
- Or return it to where you bought it.
We have now taken the necessary steps in the brewery to minimise something of this nature from happening again. We hope you will continue to support us and keep on drinking beer from our beer library 🙂
